Monthly Gathering, Meditation + Discussion
Dear Wild Women:
In December 2020, I announced the new "Samatva Yoga Book Club" pick for January, Women Who Run With the Wolves by Clarissa Pinkola Estes, Ph. D. and it was a big one.
Truth be told, the honest feeling about my decisions have drastically changed, and here comes the birth of a new idea. This read is 608 pages of some seriously amazing content. I LOVE ARCHETYPES!!!
I have been trying to work my head around how to facilitate discussion and give justice to this amazing and oh so important book and I am wanting to REALLY digest this book with a group of powerful women who feel ready to reclaim their WILD WISDOM.
....SO HERE GOES....
Let us together hold the space to digest this fabulous text of folk tales, art, and nature.
This is a book to read no more than a couple of chapters at a time and then to step back for a period of integration.
The gathering and discussion are key aspects for the integration so that you can be planted and emerge as the woman who has claimed her TRUE ESSENCE.
This monthly online setting is an opportunity to get in touch and transform the inner wolf inside of YOU!
Because every chapter is its own unique story... you don't need to attend the gathering the month before to join the next.
It is encouraged to come as often as you can as creates a more intimate and woven experience.
With Love, Jaime

Meet Me, Jaime Wood
I am an avid reader, usually gobbling between 50-75 a year - and that's just the cover to cover ones!
What I love more is enjoying time spent in gathering with amazing discussions - and books are a great starting point.
That said, this is a baby project of mine to stay accountable to doing the work and developing more rich relationships with people of similar interests and curiosities.
I hope you will join me....
About: Women Who Run With The Wolves

Within every woman there lives a powerful force, filled with good instincts, passionate creativity, and ageless knowing. She is the Wild Woman, who represents the instinctual nature of women. But she is an endangered species.
In WOMEN WHO RUN WITH THE WOLVES, Dr. Estés unfolds rich intercultural myths, fairy tales, and stories, many from her own family, in order to help women reconnect with the fierce, healthy, visionary attributes of this instinctual nature. Through the stories and commentaries in this remarkable book, we retrieve, examine, love, and understand the Wild Woman and hold her against our deep psyches as one who is both magic and medicine.
Dr. Estés has created a new lexicon for describing the female psyche. Fertile and life-giving, it is a psychology of women in the truest sense, a knowing of the soul.
