Fresh + Light | serves 1
1 cup cuccumber peeled
1 banana
1-2 cups watermelon
1 tsp honey (or maple syrup)
2-3 mint leaves

Mango Madness Green Smoothie
Sweet + Tart | serves 1
2 handfuls of greens (i prefer kale/spinach)
1 green apple
1 cup mango
juice of 1/2 lime
5-6 basil leaves
1 banana (frozen)
1 tsp honey (or maple syrup)

Pineapple Blueberry Coconut Zester
Spicy + Zesty | serves 1
2 cups chopped pineapple
1 cup blueberries
1 1/2 cups coconut milk
3 stalks celery
juice of 1/2 lime
several fresh cilantro stalks

Smoothies or juices…….or it is so hard to decide. For me, it’s a mix of two things. I want ease (this is where juicing falls short for me….too much clean up!) and I want fabulous flavour + nutritional power! Your basic smoothie will contain liquid, fruits, vegetables and maybe ice (I use a lot of frozen fruits to get the thick cold that ice offers. Sometimes, these can fall flat and seem a bit boring……a lot of the time just taking the same.
For me, I want my smoothie to substitute a meal, and I go to herbs, spices, greens, oils and superfoods to create a drink that has layers galore.
