About the Session
While we take on a yoga practice to find openness and space in the body and the mind, the physicality of yoga can sometimes lead to unrequired results. Shoulders might get sore, lower back get overly talkative, knees and wrists might get painful…. And sometimes, as with any physical exercise injuries happen and we feel betrayed by our beloved yoga….
In this all level workshop we will look at the patterns that might lead to injury on the mat, how to move the body safely accordingly to what kind of yoga one practices, how to modify postures as to address different body types, and most of all how to use our practice as a healing tool when injury happens and use the injury as a place of awareness and wisdom for future safety on the mat.
