Inside you is an innate wisdom that intuitively understands about the very natural process of birth. We help you reconnect with this wisdom, guiding you through a class specifically designed for the journey of pregnancy, interweaving childbirth education as well as addressing therapeutic applications – common aches and pains. Linking yoga postures with the breath will lead you to new discoveries, bringing awareness to the mind, body and spirit, and also the spirit of your baby.
This 6 week program, conducted in a calm, peaceful environment will help strengthen the uterus and pelvic muscles, improve circulation, aid in digestion, exercise the spine and increase overall comfort. Yoga can also alleviate many of the discomforts of pregnancy such as nausea, constipation, varicose veins, swelling, back pain and sciatica. A safe, open community allows you to freely discuss any issues, from discomforts and concerns, to the wonderful new changes your body and baby are experiencing. The ultimate purpose of the Samatva Yoga methodology of prenatal yoga is to best serve women in their preparation for labor and motherhood.

Week #1 | Standing poses + guidelines for a safe practice
This is a wonderful class that addresses the fundamentals of prenatal yoga, including breathing exercises.
Week #2 | Lateral Stretching + hip opening
You will find relief and space in your body as we work through some soothing sequences that focus on releasing tension.
Week #3 | Pregnancy sun salutations with flowing breath-work
We will work through poses to release tight legs, hips and glutes and ease aches and pains.
Week #4 | Forward bends + gentle twists, visualization + pranayama
We will work through guided meditations to connect with your baby, and to assist in your labour.
Week #5 | Poses to stabilize the sacroiliac + pelvic joint
We will address fatigue, morning sickness, aching back, and sequences to revitalize your body and mind.
Week #6 | Working with props + restorative postures
As your pregnancy progresses, your body is likely to crave poses that nurture, recharge and restore both body and mind.
