For me, yoga was most influential in making me more comfortable with who I am physically and mentally, while at the same time challenging me to always strive for something more in my life.
HOW I LIVE MY PRACTICE:
I like to incorporate some yoga into my life every day, whether it’s through meditation, asana or even just trying to interact with others mindfully and compassionately.
WHERE I AM MOST CHALLENGES BY MY PRACTICE:
I am most challenged in a practice that is very physical. I tend to like yoga classes that are very gentle but once in a while I practice in a more vigorous manner and it’s hard (in a good way)!
THE ONE THING I CAN’T LIVE WITHOUT:
I can’t live without exercise. It is my cure for stress and just makes you feel good!!
THE BOOK I KEEP ON MY BED SIDE TABLE:
I read at least one book a week, so this is always changing, but one of my favourite authors is Anthony Bourdain. He writes about travel and food-two more of my passions!
HOW I HAVE FUN OFF MY MAT:
I enjoy reading fiction and non-fiction, working out, playing baseball, spending time with family and friends and travelling.
WHAT I KNOW FOR SURE:
I know that yoga will always be a part of my life, no matter where I am physically or mentally.
WHAT I AM COMMITTED TO:
I am committed to continually learning and experiencing new things.
WHAT I SHARE IN MY TEACHING:
Yoga can be for everyone. We don’t need to look a certain way or act a certain way to practice yoga, we just need to show up and be present!
